Resolution issued by council of ministers No.17 for 2005
-
Prohibition for
any imported vehicles whose product date less than 2004.
-
Exclude from
this prohibition include the vehicles imported for governorate
benefit.
-
There is no any
registration for those imported vehicle for private sector or mixed
sector unless owners, or authorized persons presents registered
vehicle in traffic directories which has product data 1989 and
under.
-
The owner, or
authorized person has the right to get the number of the registered
vehicle according to proper assigned contract between two parts with
condition include the agreement to transfer the ownership of
registered car to the owner of imported car.
-
The owner of the
imported car pledge to deliver the used car after keeping its tags
to traffic directories in the period not exceed than 30days.

The owner of
imported car has to bring a proper certificate to deliver the used
car to committee formed by traffic directorate for this purposes in
order to registration his new one.
-
Coordination
will be continued between general directorate of traffic, Baghdad
municipality and estate property directory to find convenient land
area for deposit used cars.
-
Committee will
be formed consist of representatives from ministries of finance,
trade, industry mineral, financial inquisition and traffic directory
to deal with the used car in accordance to law.
-
This act will be
valid upon issuance 1-9-2005.
This act will be
continued for one year or more accordance to council of minister
resolution.

Act #2 of 2005,
Issued by Traffic Police
Directorate of Baghdad, Ministry of Interior Carrying out the Item 1,
act #1 of 2005 issued by Ministry of Interior, and pursuant to the Item
1, Chapter 34, Law of Traffic Police #86 of 2004, and trying to provide
citizens with the opportunity to register their vehicles, we have
decided the following:
-
Owners, or their
authorized persons, of recently imported unregistered vehicles whose
production date is 1990 and whose entry was before Dec. 31, 2003,
are requested to drop by the directorates of traffic police in
Baghdad and the other governorates within 90 days starting from the
date of issuance.
-
Owners, or their
authorized persons, of recently imported unregistered vehicles whose
production date is ranging between 1991 and 1999 and whose entry
began in Jan. 1st, 2004 and ended in Dec. 31, 2004, are
requested to drop by the directorates of traffic police in Baghdad
and the other governorates within 30 days starting from June 5,
2005.
-
A location in
Al-Dhilal Square of Al-Risafa sector was assigned for vehicles
registration as specified in points 1 and 2. Traffic Police
Directorates of the governorates will allocate certain locations for
registering the vehicles.
-
locations of Al-Shaab
and Al-Ghazaliya will be allocated for inspection, registration and
installation of temporary inspection tags for vehicles, of models
newer than 2000, included in the order of Ministers' Council #9 on
Oct. 20, 2004.
-
Violators will
be penalized according to the items of Chapter 12, Law of Traffic
Police # 86 of 2004, and vehicles will be confiscated unless
registered within the periods stated in points 1 and 2. Otherwise,
vehicles will be referred to the General Commission of Tasks.

This act will be
valid upon issuance and publishing.
